Set on the edge of a natural, historic working harbour with the iconic Table Mountain as its backdrop, it offers local and international visitors a cosmopolitan mix of experiences including shops, restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes, galleries, exhibitions and entertainment. As well as access to the Robben Island Ferry through the Nelson Mandela Gateway.

On 1 March 2017, the V&A Waterfront welcomed its newest five-star hotel – The Silo.

The Silo Hotel is a magical space towering above the Waterfront, surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa’s Mother City. Built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex, the hotel occupies six floors above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA).
